The Pathlight Impact Award (“we,” “our,” “us”) is an independent recognition initiative created to honor educators, administrators, and school staff who demonstrate meaningful impact in education and their communities.

By accessing this website, submitting a nomination, participating in the award process, or opting in to communications (including SMS), you (“you,” “user”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility

The Pathlight Impact Award is open to educators, administrators, and school staff currently serving within educational institutions in the United States. Nominees must be at least 18 years of age. Employees, contractors, or affiliates directly involved in administering the award are not eligible to receive the award.

2. Nomination & Submission

By submitting a nomination, you confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You grant the Pathlight Impact Award permission to review, evaluate, and verify submitted information as part of the selection process.

Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection or receipt of an award.

3. Selection Process

Award recipients are selected based on demonstrated impact, leadership, service, and contribution to students and communities. Selections are made independently and are not based on popularity, voting volume, or paid participation.

All decisions made by the Pathlight Impact Award selection committee are final.

4. Award Details

The total award value is $5,000, consisting of:

  • $3,000 awarded directly to the individual recipient

  • $2,000 contributed to the recipient’s school program or district

Award funds are subject to applicable tax reporting requirements under U.S. and California law. Recipients are responsible for any tax obligations.

5. Communications & SMS Messaging

By submitting a nomination or providing your contact information, you may receive communications related to the Pathlight Impact Award, including nomination confirmations, status updates, award notifications, and program-related announcements.

If you provide a mobile phone number and opt in, you consent to receive SMS messages from the Pathlight Impact Award.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of nomination or award consideration.

6. Privacy & Data Use

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or defamatory information

We reserve the right to disqualify submissions that violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under California law, the Pathlight Impact Award shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the program or use of this website.

Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the award offered.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
